Job Description

Pump Mechanic Job Type:
Full Time, On site
Compensation:

Responsibilities Independently rebuild electric motors, replace fan bearings, and rebuild both packed and mechanically sealed pumps. Perform high and low voltage troubleshooting and wiring. Perform controller and VFD installations. Execute electrical and mechanical troubleshooting tasks safely and efficiently. Safely utilize power tools and machine shop equipment for tasks such as drilling out broken bolts, machining shaft sleeves, and simple fabrication tasks. Safely rig equipment and materials utilize chain blocks and come alongs for various tasks. Adapt to changing conditions and develop creative solutions when plans do not proceed as expected. Maintain current knowledge of fire pump systems and related code. Teach and mentor others when applicable while being open to learning new skills. Other duties as assigned. Skills & Qualifications 5 years of pump and motor repair experience (recommended). Soldering/brazing experience up to 4" (preferred). Previous knowledge of fire pump systems (preferred). OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire. Clean driver's license. Ability to climb, squat, crawl, and lift up to 75 lbs.
