JOB SUMMARY
The Hydraulic Pump Technician will perform disassembly, inspection, repair, testing and reassembly of hydraulic pumps, motors, and valves for the purpose of rebuild/repair and provide repair solutions. The successful Hydraulic Pump Technician will have a strong understanding of internal and external parts of hydraulic pumps and components and be familiar with how they work and operate as well as having knowledge of proper testing and repair procedures. The Hydraulic Pump Technician will provide lists of necessary parts and service quotes required to repair the component utilizing the shop software and creating routing for each repair to schedule. The individual will use various catalogs and online tools to create a parts list for the repairs.
REQUIREMENTS
Individual must be a self-starter and work well on their own. Must have strong attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, required with internal and external customers. Must be competent in the use of wrenches, air tools, torque wrenches, and hydraulically operated equipment such as shop press/power pack. As well as have ability to read mics, gauges, measuring tools, and work from blueprints. Must own measuring tools (0-6") and hand tools. This includes micrometers, calipers, feeler gauges, and basic mechanical hand tools.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED required. Two plus years of experience with hydraulic pump and component repair and rebuild. Strong mechanical aptitude.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pull. Standing/Sitting Up and downstairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines. Dexterity Normal. Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
