this client is specifically seeking candidates with at least 4 years of Active Duty U.S. military experience • Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a Workshop Technician based out of their Austin TX facility. They are a leading diesel engine manufacturer with global facilities and lots of room for growth.
Compensation:
$32.50-34.50/hour
What You Will Do:
Responsible for the inspection, refurbishment, testing, and documentation of large natural gas engine components, including cylinder heads, valve assemblies, and related systems. Ensure all components meet OEM specifications, operational requirements, and strict quality standards, with full traceability and compliance. Support service operations by maintaining high-quality workmanship, accurate documentation, and reliable turnaround of critical engine components. Support the maintenance and calibration of workshop tools and machinery. Education and Work Experience At least 4 years US Military Active Duty experience required Must have a strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings. Working knowledge of machining processes and tolerance requirements. Experience working with large bore natural gas engines or similar heavy-duty engine systems. Hands-on experience in component refurbishment, machining, and mechanical assembly. Experience with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques. Trade certificate, technical diploma, or relevant education in mechanical engineering, heavy equipment, or related discipline preferred.
