Job Description

Position Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated, mechanically inclined Production Technician with a growth mindset who enjoys a dynamic, hands on, field-based work environment. You will be responsible for working in the field with other teams to perform repairs, perform preventative maintenance on existing equipment, diagnose issues, conduct root cause failure analysis, pre and post job reviews, handle contractor work, collect data / validate conditions, and investigate customer/3rd party issues. Gauge production on assigned wells and record gauge readings, downtime and other pertinent well information into the production system. Perform lease maintenance such as minor surface pump and production equipment repairs and adjustments; grease pumping units, service lease equipment, etc. Assist in witnessing meter calibrations; monitor rates and pressures on injection and disposal wells; monitor chemical use; test safety systems daily to maximize production. Utilize SCADA to monitor and evaluate well performance and facility status, respond to SCADA alarms if required.
Requirements :
High school diploma or GED required. Commensurate work experience considered. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
This position is located in the Barnett Field / Fort Worth Basin and is based out of the BKV Fort Worth, Texas office. Must be available to work holidays, weekends, and non-scheduled callouts. Outdoor working environment with varying weather conditions. May be required to stand for long periods of time and potentially engage in frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting items over 20lbs. Sometimes exposed to hazardous environments that would require PPE (personal protective equipment) to be worn. Frequently on the road and may remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and engage in frequent eye/hand/foot coordination.
