Position:
Offshore Crane Mechanic Main Responsibilities:
Execute all aspects of offshore crane services in the field. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic cranes, including winches, valves, engines, and hydraulic components. Implement a preventative maintenance program for offshore cranes. Conduct electrical parts changeouts and perform basic electrical troubleshooting. Monitor competitive activities and contribute positively to the company's image and reputation. Manage and maintain assigned tools and equipment, ensuring compliance with driving guidelines. Identify various crane components and complete all paperwork accurately and promptly. Adhere to Sparrows Offshore's Quality Policy and comply with all safety and environmental requirements. Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Required Skills:
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years as an offshore crane mechanic.
Technical Knowledge:
Understanding of basic mechanics and hydraulics.
Communication:
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Familiarity:
Knowledge of crane rigging procedures.
Independence:
Ability to perform tasks independently and collaboratively.
Tools:
Must possess personal hand tools.
Driving Record:
A clean driving record is essential.
Schedule:
Must be able to work an adhoc schedule.
