Akkodis is seeking an EE Wire Harness Engineer for a Contract with a client in Louisville, KY. The ideal candidate with experience designing and developing wire harness systems for consumer appliances, supporting product development from concept through production.

Rate Range:

$45/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. EE Wire Harness Engineer Job Responsibilities include: Design and develop wire harness systems and electrical schematics for consumer appliance products, ensuring compliance with engineering and performance requirements. Create and maintain electrical drawings and schematic designs using Creo while providing technical direction to CAD teams on 2D and 3D modeling activities. Select appropriate wires, connectors, terminals, and harness materials to optimize product reliability, safety, and manufacturability. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to support product development, testing, and production implementation. Provide hands-on support on the shop floor, troubleshooting electrical issues and driving design improvements to enhance product performance and quality. Conduct design reviews, root cause analysis, and validation activities to ensure wire harness assemblies meet functional, regulatory, and customer requirements.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering with a strong focus on wire harness design and development. Hands-on experience creating electrical schematics using Creo and directing CAD teams in the development of 2D/3D design documentation. Strong knowledge of wire harness materials, connectors, and electrical component selection for consumer appliances or electromechanical products.
