$28.00- $30.00 per hour Fagioli, Inc. / F2 Construction (LLC) Fagioli is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Rigger to support heavy lift, heavy haul, and Self-Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT) operations on major industrial and construction projects. The Rigger is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and operating rigging equipment used to lift, lower, position, and secure heavy machinery, structural steel, modules, and oversized loads. This role plays a critical part in ensuring all lifting and transport activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements. What You'll Do Assemble, install, inspect, and maintain rigging equipment, including slings, shackles, cables, chains, pulleys, blocks, and hoists. Attach loads to rigging equipment and prepare them for lifting, positioning, or transport. Align, level, and secure machinery and heavy equipment. Select the appropriate rigging gear based on load dimensions, weight, lift plans, and site conditions. Assist with heavy lift and SPMT transport operations. Install pulleys, blocks, and lifting equipment onto overhead structures and support systems. Operate chain falls, hoists, winches, and other rigging devices to control load movement. Guide crane operators, SPMT operators, and transport crews using hand signals and verbal communication. Control and maneuver suspended loads around obstacles utilizing safe rigging techniques. Inspect travel paths, lifting areas, and work zones for hazards prior to operations. Perform rigging inspections and verify equipment is safe and compliant before use. Dismantle, store, and maintain rigging equipment after project completion. Follow all company, customer, and project-specific safety procedures. Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near-misses immediately to supervision. Support a safety-first culture on all project sites. Required Experience and Qualifications We are seeking candidates with experience supporting heavy lifting, heavy haul, construction, industrial, or specialized transport operations. Minimum 3 years of rigging, crane support, heavy haul, millwright, construction, or industrial experience. Ability to read and interpret lift drawings, blueprints, rigging plans, and technical specifications. Knowledge of rigging equipment, load calculations, and safe lifting practices. Experience working around cranes, heavy equipment, or oversized loads. Strong understanding of construction and industrial safety procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, and crew members. Strong problem-solving and hazard-recognition skills. Ability to work safely in high-risk industrial and construction environments. Ability to recognize unsafe conditions and initiate stop-work actions when necessary. Willingness to travel and work varying schedules based on project requirements. Support stop-work authority and intervene when unsafe conditions are observed.
