The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of lifting equipment, ensuring all rigging operations adhere to safety regulations and standards. This role involves working with overhead cranes, material handling equipment, and implementing proper load securing methods to facilitate construction, manufacturing, or industrial projects. The Rigger will play a critical role in maintaining a safe work environment while supporting the movement and placement of heavy loads. Duties Operate material handling equipment and overhead cranes to lift, move, and position heavy loads with precision. Implement load handling procedures in crane operations, ensuring safety and efficiency during lifting activities. Secure loads using appropriate rigging methods to prevent shifting or falling during transportation or placement. Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and OSHA safety standards. Conduct thorough inspections of lifting equipment, rigging gear, and safety devices prior to use. Follow load securing rigging methods that comply with industry best practices and safety regulations. Maintain clear communication with team members during lifting operations to coordinate movements safely. Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies to minimize risk of accidents or injuries. Experience Proven experience as a Rigger or in a similar role involving lifting operations and rigging procedures. Knowledge of safety regulations related to crane operations, including OSHA standards. Hands-on experience operating overhead cranes and material handling equipment. Familiarity with load handling procedures and load securing rigging methods. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to lifting activities and equipment maintenance. Ability to inspect equipment for safety compliance and identify potential hazards before operations commence.
