Job Title:
Wire Harness Assembler Job Description This role focuses on building high-quality wire harnesses and cable assemblies by interpreting engineering blueprints and Bills of Materials (BOM). You will perform wiring, harnessing, cabling, and related tasks in accordance with IPC-620 standards while operating both manual and automated assembly equipment in a clean, production-driven environment. Responsibilities Interpret and utilize engineering blueprints and Bills of Materials (BOM) to build wire harnesses and cable assemblies accurately. Perform wiring, harnessing, and cabling operations, including wire stripping, crimping, layout, and lacing in compliance with IPC-620 standards. Set up and operate automated assembly equipment to support consistent and efficient production of harnesses and wiring assemblies. Use manual and powered hand tools safely and effectively to assemble, secure, and inspect wiring and harness components. FollowISO 9000
processes and documentation requirements to maintain high quality and traceability throughout all phases of production. Conduct visual checks and support inspection activities at each stage of assembly to ensure quality standards are met. Organize workstations, materials, and tools to maintain an efficient, clean, and orderly assembly area. Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors regarding production status, issues, and improvement opportunities. Handle and move materials and assemblies, including lifting items up to 40 pounds, while following safe handling practices. Read and interpret small print on drawings, labels, and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly and documentation. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of wire harnessing experience. Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and Bills of Materials (BOM). Proficiency in wiring, harnessing, and cabling, including wire stripping, crimping, layout, and lacing. Familiarity with IPC-620 standards for cable and wire harness assemblies. Experience working withinISO 9000
quality systems. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds safely. Capability to read small print on drawings, labels, and documentation. Excellent organization and communication skills. Ability to effectively use manual and powered hand tools for assembly work. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in the aircraft avionics industry. IPC-610 certification. Experience in assembly line or production assembly environments. Hands-on experience with wiring harnesses, harness assemblies, and cabling. Experience with wire stripping tools and crimping tools. Familiarity with harness layout and lacing techniques. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Exton, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41600.00- $52000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
