Sterling Crane LLC:
Founded in 1954, Sterling Crane USA is a leader in the heavy lift industry offering operated and bare rentals, sales, parts, and unparalleled service to all our customers. We are looking for CDL Crane Riggers in our Midland branch. Apply above. The Crane Rigger will work closely with the crane operator, will haul heavy equipment and assist with the building of mobile cranes. They will work under the direction of the operations manager. Duties and Responsibilities Inspect all applicable rigging. Hauling heavy materials and equipment. Knowledge of rigging equipment capacity and weight limits. Signal crane operator during lifts for directional or placement instructions. Climb structures with safety harness to guide and position load. Ensures rigging is safe and reliable before engaging in hoisting and lifting. Required Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent. NCCER or NCCCO crane rigger certified. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards. Successfully pass post offer drug and physical screens and have a background/MVR that meets company requirements. Excellent communication skills and able to work effectively with others. Strong customer service skills to communicate with onsite project managers. Strong knowledge of math applications, weights, and measurements. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays. Problem solving skills and critical thinking to resolve and identify safety issues. Must be willing to follow safety procedures. Physical Requirements Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting. Ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50lbs. Most be able to work in all weather conditions while wearing appropriate PPE. Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects/materials.
