They calculate load weights and determine the appropriate rigging methods and equipment required for each lift . During operations, riggers attach loads to cranes, secure them to prevent shifting, and communicate with crane operators to coordinate safe and precise movements They may also assemble and dismantle rigging components and assist in crane setup and teardown Industry-Specific Duties
Construction:
Transport materials to elevated work areas, assist in oil field projects building projects, and remain on-site for the duration of the project
Industrial Sites:
Handle heavy machinery in manufacturing ensuring safe movement and placement of equipment
