Position Number 41169 Company Hanford Mission Integration So City/State Richland, WA Location 600/6290 Posted 05/11/2026 Closes 05/21/2026 Regular/Temporary Regular Full/Part-Time Full-Time Job Duties/Scope Of Work Fully qualified Ironworker/Rigger. Perform all types of complex rigging and ironwork. Rigging involves loft and field jobs, such as splicing wire rope, building wire slings, erection, dismantling and inspecting of metal scaffolding and staging. Structures built of scaffolding and all difficult load slinging. Inspect, maintain, and repair complex rigging equipment. Inspection and change out wire rope. Ironwork involves the fabrication, erection, and dismantling of steel structures, placing and setting reinforcing, etc. Ironwork includes fabrication, erecting/installing, dismantling and inspecting of fixed ladders, platforms and catwalks. Basic Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED, plus 5 years qualifying experience as a journeyman level Ironworker/Rigger. Have knowledge and experience in setup of mobile cranes and load charts. Candidates must be able to meet all criteria for work in radiological areas to include wearing of respirators, Asbestos Awareness, Radiation II, and Hazardous Worker, 24 or 40 hour. Must meet Beryllium-worker requirements (medically cleared and qualified). Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge. Desired Qualifications Experience in radiological and hazardous material work including respiratory protection, Asbestos Worker, Radiation Worker II and 24 or 40 hour Hazardous Waste Worker training.

In compliance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) and Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Field Office (HFO) direction, employees issued initial badges on or after September 1st, 2025, are required to obtain and maintain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential. To obtain this credential, new employees must successfully complete and pass a federal background check investigation. This investigation encompasses multiple areas of eligibility and includes a declaration of illegal drug activities, including use, supply, possession, or manufacture within the last year. This includes marijuana and cannabis derivatives, which are still considered illegal under federal law, regardless of state laws.
