Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Roofer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems across various construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that roofs are durable, weather-resistant, and meet all safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors on diverse projects, from new builds to restoration and remodeling efforts, utilizing your extensive knowledge of roofing materials and techniques. Duties Install, repair, and replace roofing systems using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, tile, and membrane roofing. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to execute roofing projects accurately. Conduct thorough inspections of roofs to identify issues such as leaks, damage, or deterioration, and implement effective solutions. Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently on job sites. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, electricians, and other trades to coordinate building material installation and ensure seamless project execution. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. Perform outdoor work in various weather conditions while maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship. Skills Extensive construction experience with a focus on roofing installation and repair. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and construction plans related to roofing projects. Strong knowledge of building materials such as shingles, stucco, stucco finishes, flashing, caulking, and waterproofing membranes. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding equipment, and heavy machinery safely. Experience with window installation, door hanging, trim carpentry, framing, masonry, flooring installation, tile laying, plastering, restoration work, hardscape design, cabinet installation, electrical work basics, plumbing integration and general building construction. Familiarity with Bluebeam software for digital plan review and project documentation management is a plus. Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans accurately. Outdoor work experience in diverse weather conditions with a focus on safety compliance. Knowledge of construction estimating and project management principles is advantageous but not required.
