Job Summary:

As a Journeyman Waterproofer at Seaside Waterproofing you will be responsible for applying various waterproofing materials and techniques to protect structures from moisture intrusion and damage. Your expertise will help safeguard buildings and ensure their durability while maintaining high-quality work and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Surface Preparation:

Prepare surfaces for waterproofing by cleaning, smoothing, and leveling as required.

Application:

Apply waterproofing materials using various application methods, including spray, brush, roller, or trowel, ensuring a uniform and effective coverage.

Quality Control:

Inspect work areas for defects in substrates and deficiencies in waterproofing, making necessary repairs and adjustments to ensure a watertight seal.

Safety:

Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with other construction professionals, including but not limited to General Contractors and Subcontractors to coordinate waterproofing efforts within the overall construction project.

Problem Solving:

Troubleshoot and address any waterproofing-related challenges that may arise during the project.

Cleanup:

Clean and organize work areas after completing waterproofing tasks, ensuring the site is left in a safe and tidy condition.

Qualifications:

Experience:

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in waterproofing or a related field.

Skills:

Proficient in surface preparation, material application, and waterproofing techniques. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work with and safely operate various power tools and equipment.

Safety:

Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to work safely on construction sites. OSHA 30 hour certification a plus.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working at heights.

Team Player:

Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team of professionals. Ability to coordinate with and take direction from company foreman and superintendent.

Reliability:

Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential.
