Responsibilities Assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and roofing materials. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate project execution. Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal panels, and framing components safely and efficiently. Use various hand tools and power tools for tasks including caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, and masonry work. Support framing carpentry, metal stud framing, and concrete forming activities on-site. Conduct site preparation activities like demolition, debris removal, and site cleanup to maintain a safe working environment. Assist with restoration projects involving waterproofing, flashing installation, or siding repairs as needed. Follow safety protocols diligently while working at heights or on scaffolding; utilize fall protection equipment properly. Collaborate with team members to read blueprints and schematics for precise installation of roofing systems or structural components. Perform general handyman tasks such as plumbing rough-ins or minor electrical work when required. Experience Prior construction site experience is highly preferred; familiarity with roofing projects is a plus. Experience with construction estimating or blueprint reading will enhance your effectiveness on the job. Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools specific to roofing, carpentry, masonry, or related trades. Knowledge of schematics, metal stud framing, tile laying, welding, or restoration techniques is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience with framing carpentry or masonry work will support your success in this role. A strong work ethic combined with handyman experience or remodeling background will set you apart as a versatile team member.
