In this role, you will assist skilled carpenters and construction professionals by preparing materials, handling tools, and supporting various woodworking tasks. Your energetic attitude and attention to detail will contribute to the timely and quality completion of projects involving framing, siding, cabinetry, and more. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple facets of the construction industry while developing your skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist with framing, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, and siding projects using hand tools and power tools. Support the setup and dismantling of scaffolding, formwork for concrete, and metal stud framing. Prepare materials such as cutting wood or fabricating components according to schematics or blueprints. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move lumber, drywall, or other building materials around the site. Aid in restoration projects including water damage remediation, mold removal, plastering, stucco application, and general renovation tasks. Follow safety protocols diligently while working with rebar installation, roofing materials, flooring installation, tile laying, and electrical or plumbing components. Assist in site cleanup, material organization, and ensuring tools are maintained in good condition for efficient workflow. Qualifications Prior experience in construction site work or related fields is highly desirable. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprint reading, and basic carpentry techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights when necessary. Knowledge of various construction disciplines such as framing (including metal studs), drywall installation (including plastering), roofing, flooring, tile work, masonry, and cabinetry is a plus. Strong work ethic with a focus on safety standards and quality workmanship. Excellent communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately. Previous experience in restoration industry work or water damage remediation is advantageous but not required.
