Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Demolition Worker to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely dismantling structures, preparing sites for new construction, and ensuring all demolition activities comply with safety regulations and project specifications. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a broad range of skills in construction and demolition processes. Candidates with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and experience in construction environments are encouraged to apply. Duties Safely operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and skid steers to perform controlled demolitions. Use hand tools and power tools to dismantle structures, including walls, floors, roofing, and fixtures. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to execute demolition plans accurately. Remove debris and hazardous materials from sites following proper disposal procedures. Assist in site preparation activities such as framing, concrete breaking, and concrete forming. Conduct inspections of demolition sites to ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements. Coordinate with construction management teams to schedule demolition phases and ensure seamless project progression. Support restoration efforts post-demolition by assisting with masonry, plastering, or finishing tasks as needed. Operate heavy equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. Maintain detailed records of work performed and report any issues or hazards promptly. Skills Proven experience in construction site activities with a focus on demolition projects. Proficiency in operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, or loaders. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings. Familiarity with construction management software like Bluebeam for documentation. Ability to use hand tools (e.g., sledgehammers, pry bars) and power tools effectively. Experience in related trades such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, or concrete finishing is highly desirable. Knowledge of safety procedures related to demolition work and hazardous material handling. Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, and building codes relevant to demolition. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors. This position is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient teardown of structures while supporting the broader goals of our construction projects. Pay:
$20.00 - $21.00 per hour
