In this role, you will install or repair roofs, on asphalt shingles, tile, PVC & TPO roofs and be required to install metal roof flashings as well as other materials. You will be installing materials to the proper size for each job therefore applicants must be comfortable using hand and power tools. It is also essential to secure your tools in order to prevent building damage and maintain a safe work area. Pay is based on experience and capabilities. Duties and Responsibilities Repair or replace shingles, roof tiles, and flat roof membranes sheet metal, and other roofing materials Remove debris from roofs and gutters Cover roof surfaces with coatings Use power and hand tools to measure and cut materials Keep inventory of roofing materials Requirements and Qualifications Physically able to lift heavy materials and tools is required and good balance Physical fitness and stamina to perform tasks requiring but not limited to bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., and standing for extended periods. Familiarity with various hand tools, including shingle cutters and roof tile saws Comfortable working at significant heights in various weather conditions Reliable transportation to and from work location Follow all OSHA safety regulations Strong communication skills Minimum of 2 years of prior roofing experience preferred High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
