This position performs a wide variety of residential construction, remodeling, and property improvement projects while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship, safety, and professionalism. Construction Technicians work alongside project leads and fellow tradespeople to complete projects efficiently, safely, and with exceptional attention to quality. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing quality work, enjoys solving problems in the field, and thrives in a fast-paced construction environment where no two projects are the same. Key Responsibilities Perform residential construction, remodeling, renovation, and repair work in accordance with company quality standards. Execute framing, finish carpentry, drywall installation and repair, trim work, flooring installation, painting, cabinetry, fixture installation, and general construction tasks. Assist with demolition, material installation, project preparation, and job site cleanup. Read and interpret work orders, project scopes, and construction drawings when applicable. Ensure projects are completed efficiently while maintaining quality craftsmanship. Execute handyman construction projects, such as installing fixtures, cabinetry, tile, and flooring. Collaborate with clients to understand project specifications and deliver tailored solutions. Inspect and troubleshoot issues to determine appropriate solutions and repairs. Prepare and maintain organized, clean, and safe job sites throughout each phase of construction. Load, unload, transport, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment. Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and construction equipment safely. Maintain company vehicles, trailers, and assigned equipment. Follow OSHA guidelines and company safety procedures at all times. Customer Interaction Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide recommendations. Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience throughout the service process. Quality Assurance Deliver high-quality and safe workmanship with strong attention to detail. Perform work that meets company standards and customer expectations. Identify deficiencies and proactively resolve issues before project completion. Protect customer property and maintain a clean, professional work environment. Documentation Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job. Provide estimates and quotes for potential work based on customer requests. Collaboration Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure seamless service delivery. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge. Work closely with Project Leads, fellow technicians, subcontractors, and office staff to keep projects on schedule. Communicate material shortages, unforeseen job site conditions, and project updates. Support teammates by assisting in multiple phases of construction as needed. Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Pay:
$25.00 - $32.00 per hour
