Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, stains, and coatings to various surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure quality finishes that meet client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about craftsmanship, detail-oriented work, and contributing to diverse building projects. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and repairing imperfections to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope and specific requirements for each job. Perform construction painting tasks on both interior and exterior surfaces of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Execute specialized tasks like stucco application, masonry finishing, restoration work, and fixture installation as needed. Maintain safety standards on construction sites by using appropriate protective gear and following safety protocols. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, drywall installers, and other trades to ensure seamless project completion. Skills Proficiency in construction estimating and basic math to measure areas accurately and calculate material needs. Strong knowledge of color theory for selecting appropriate paints and finishes that match client preferences or project specifications. Experience with residential painting, commercial painting, industrial painting, renovation projects, and construction site work. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, trowels, saws (for trim carpentry), welding equipment (for industrial applications), and power tools. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings confidently for precise execution of tasks. Familiarity with plastering techniques, framing carpentry (including trim carpentry), concrete finishing, masonry work, stucco application, and fixture installation. Knowledge of schematics related to industrial systems or renovation plans; experience with maintenance tasks on construction sites.
