Job Description

Job Location:
Dawson, GA Sentri Homes is a nationwide residential construction company looking for skilled laborers to help complete our projects. We work with contractors on a project-by-project basis, and crews who consistently do great work become our go-to team for recurring jobs across the country.
SCOPE OF WORK
Remove existing asphalt shingles, underlayment, flashing, and fasteners from the leaking flat/low-slope section where the garage roof connects to the main house, exposing the deck. Around 200 square feet. Inspect exposed decking and framing for rot, delamination, or water damage; remove and replace deteriorated decking with new OSB or plywood matching the existing thickness. Install ice & water membrane at the transition area and prepare all roof-to-wall and roof-to-roof transitions per EPDM manufacturer requirements. Install new EPDM rubber roofing membrane over the flat/low-slope section — clean, dry substrate, manufacturer-approved adhesive, and properly rolled/bonded with no wrinkles or voids. Complete all seams with manufacturer-approved primer, seam tape, and cover tape; no exposed fasteners or penetrations. Properly flash and waterproof the garage-to-house connection with new flashing/counterflashing so water is directed over — not behind — the membrane. Tie the new EPDM system into the surrounding existing asphalt-shingle roof, lifting/replacing shingles as needed for a proper watertight transition. Install termination bar, drip edge, and perimeter flashing as required; seal all edges and transitions with EPDM-compatible sealant. Perform a final inspection for open seams, wrinkles, or incomplete flashing; water-test the repaired transition when practical. Remove all old roofing, damaged decking, packaging, and job-related debris; leave the work area and surrounding property clean. Photograph the completed roofing system and critical flashing/transition areas, plus any concealed damage found during demo, for project documentation.
