Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Roofer to join our dynamic construction team. Specializing in metal, shingles and coatings. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various roofing systems on commercial and residential buildings. Your expertise will ensure that roofing projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors on diverse projects, utilizing your technical skills and craftsmanship to deliver durable roofing solutions that stand the test of time. Responsibilities Install a variety of roofing systems including metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, and traditional shingle roofs according to project specifications and safety standards. Conduct roof repairs and restoration work, ensuring proper sealing, flashing, and waterproofing techniques are applied. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately execute roofing projects. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, fastening, and sealing roofing materials. Perform siding installation, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, and masonry work as needed for comprehensive building envelope solutions. Follow all construction safety regulations including proper use of safety harnesses, ladder use protocols, heavy lifting techniques, and adherence to workplace safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings and schematics for precise installation or repair work on complex roofing structures. Assist with construction estimating tasks when required to ensure project budgets align with scope of work. Maintain a clean and organized worksite while adhering to all safety protocols during outdoor work activities. Skills Extensive construction experience with a focus on roofing installation and repair. Proficiency in metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, tile laying, and other specialized roofing techniques. Strong knowledge of construction safety harnesses, ladder use, heavy lifting practices, and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately. Skilled in using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels; power tools including drills, saws, nail guns; fabrication equipment; welding tools; masonry tools; plumbing fixtures; tile cutters; caulking guns; framing squares; etc. Experience with siding installation (vinyl or metal), stucco application, trim carpentry, masonry work including concrete forming and restoration projects. Knowledge of construction estimating processes for project planning purposes. Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions with a focus on safety protocol adherence. Ability to interpret technical schematics related to metal stud framing or other structural components as needed. Handyman experience covering multiple trades such as carpentry, welding, plumbing or masonry is a plus.
