Tomlinson Cannon is hiring a full-time carpenter and roofer for our Iowa City location. This is a year-round position with a temporary layoff in the winter.

Exterior Services Technician Responsibilities:

General carpentry to repair siding, soffit, fascia, trim and roof decking and trusses Perform installation of asphalt, metal and rubber roofs including underlayment, drip edge, and ventilation. Perform various roofing and siding repairs including troubleshooting and resolving leaks Install and repair fascia board, fascia metal and soffit Install snow guards Use a metal brake to custom form fascia metal Assist with seamless gutter installation, gutter guard installation, gutter repairs and cleaning Work on various pitched roofs and ladders Drive trucks and vans Load trucks with tools and equipment Clean equipment and job sites Ensure all equipment in operation meets or exceeds all safety standards Other duties as assigned

Exterior Services Technician Qualifications:

Valid driver's license Able to work on roofs and from tall ladders Able to lift 50+ pounds 1 year experience with siding, roofing or carpentry Motivated and self-disciplined Ability to communicate with customers Strong team player

Carpenter Competitive Benefits:

Job based pay with uncapped commission - the more efficient your crew the more you earn! Base pay ranges from $21-24 per hour based on experience. Extra bonus pay is $2-5+ per hour based on performance.
