Roofer-Temporary-Project Based

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial Roofer with hands-on flat roof experience for a large-scale commercial roofing project. This is a temporary, project-based position with hours and duration tied to project needs. You will be responsible for the installation, repair, and/or maintenance of commercial roofing systems and will work alongside a dedicated crew, reporting directly to the Foreman or Project Superintendent. This is a physical, hands-on position suited for a motivated professional who can hit the ground running, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works safely, and can manage the demands of a large commercial job site. Key Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain flat and low-slope commercial roofing systems including TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, and built-up roofing (BUR) Read and interpret blueprints, roofing plans, and project specifications Inspect roofing surfaces to identify damage, deterioration, or potential failure points and provide recommendations Perform tear-offs of existing roofing systems and prepare substrates for new installation Apply roofing materials using heat welding, torching, cold adhesive, and mechanical fastening methods as required Install flashing, drains, pipe boots, curbs, and edge metal in accordance with manufacturer specifications Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies Requirements Experience & Skills Minimum 5 years of commercial roofing experience, with a strong focus on flat/low-slope systems Proven proficiency with TPO, EPDM, PVC, and/or modified bitumen systems required Ability to safely operate roofing equipment including kettles, lifts, and power tools Solid understanding of roof drainage, insulation, and decking systems Ability to read and follow manufacturer specifications and project drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work Physical Requirements Ability to work at heights and on rooftops in various weather conditions Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday Must be able to kneel, bend, and perform sustained physical labor for extended periods Other Requirements Valid driver's license required; clean driving record preferred OSHA 10 certification required (OSHA 30 preferred) Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening Reliable transportation to job sites
