Roofer/Laborer Knox, IN 46534 From $17 an hour - Temporary, Part-time, Full-time, Contract From $17 an hour - Temporary, Part-time, Full-time, Contract Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roofer/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and roofing, with experience in various tasks related to building and maintaining roofs. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. The Roofer/Laborer will be responsible for executing roofing projects while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Duties Perform roofing installations, repairs, and maintenance on residential and commercial properties. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various roofing tasks. Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and specifications. Assist in concrete forming, framing, and other carpentry tasks as needed. Engage in heavy lifting and maneuvering of materials on construction sites. Conduct restoration work including caulking, stucco application, and tile laying. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times. Follow safety protocols to minimize risks on the job site. Requirements Proven experience in construction, particularly in roofing or related fields. Familiarity with construction estimating, blueprint reading, and schematics is essential. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in roofing applications. Experience with masonry, plumbing, welding, metal stud framing, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, concrete forming, fabrication, remodeling, and maintenance person tasks is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality work. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively on the job site. A valid driver's license may be required depending on job location.
