Description:
Position Objective :
The Roofer is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems to ensure structural integrity and protection from weather elements. This role ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Install various types of roofing systems and materials (infrequent repair/replacements) Inspect roofs to identify damage, leaks, or wear and determine necessary repairs Measure and cut materials to fit specific roof dimensions Apply insulation, waterproofing, and sealing materials Ensure work meets quality standards and building codes Other duties as assigned This position is also expected to: Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Maintain a positive, professional demeanor at all times Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external clients Be very detail oriented and well organized Possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills - verbal and written Be skilled at problem solving and analysis Follow all safety procedures - especially when working at heights Operate tools and equipment required for roofing tasks Collaborate with team members to ensure work is completed timely
Requirements:
Qualifications and Educational Requirements High school diploma/GED Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience Familiarity with OSHA safety standards Job Requirements This role requires the ability to work at heights for extended periods and maintain balance on sloped surfaces. The Roofer must be able to lift heavy materials (often 50 pounds or more), perform physically demanding tasks, and work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and wind.
