In this role, you will work outdoors in a fast-paced environment, assisting with various roofing projects including repairs, installations, and restorations. Your hands-on skills and safety awareness will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your construction expertise while contributing to the transformation of residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems, including metal roofing and single-ply membrane roofing. Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and install roofing materials according to project specifications. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately execute roofing tasks. Safely operate ladders and scaffolding while adhering to construction safety harnesses and workplace safety regulations. Perform siding installation, installing shingle and more. Support heavy lifting and material handling to ensure efficient workflow on construction sites. Follow all safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and teammates. Experience Prior construction experience with a focus on roofing or exterior building projects is highly preferred. Familiarity with roof types such as metal roofing and single-ply membrane systems. Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, tile laying, framing carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and fabrication techniques. Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions is advantageous. Understanding of construction safety harnesses, ladder use protocols, workplace safety regulations, and general site safety practices. Additional skills in restoration work, remodeling projects, heavy lifting techniques, concrete forming, carpentry (including trim carpentry), metal stud framing, drywall installation (including schematics), caulking or sealing work (such as stucco), welding or fabrication are a plus.
