Job Description
Responsible for reading and understanding blueprints; managing construction crew of 3 - 10 people; following all local codes and ordinances relating to the construction and installation of various underground utilities, including sanitary sewers, storm sewers and water mains; serve as the point man on job with engineers and inspectors. Efficiently and effectively move dirt to desired grades as indicated on drawings. Safely and effectively operate various earthmoving equipment including: excavators, graders, bulldozers, scrapers, compactors, off-road trucks, and rollers. Utilize GPS equipment both handheld and machine controls. Clean driving record required. Fluency in English is required, ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus. Ability to work safely and comply with OSHA standards with the utilization of trench boxes or the benching of trenches. Ability to shoot grades with site instruments and make necessary adjustments based on existing field conditions. Must be organized and self motivated. Pay based on experience
