Journeyman Roofer

Journeyman Roofer (Mechanic) In search of journeyman roofers with professional experience in installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on residential, commercial, or industrial structures. Must have mastered the trade through formal training and hands-on experience, and be able to execute complex tasks with minimal supervision, ensure high-quality workmanship, and often guide apprentices or laborers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assists in the installation of roofing systems, components, including membrane roofing.
• Remove old roofing materials and prepare surfaces for new installations.
• Carry and load materials, tools, and equipment.
• Ensure job sites are clean and organized.
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Operate hand and power tools as needed.
• Assist in the application of waterproofing and insulation materials.
• Perform rough carpentry and framing
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance on roofing systems.

Requirements:

• Ability to take verbal direction in English.
• Comfortable working at heights, ladders, and Mobile Elevated Work Platforms.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical.
• Advanced knowledge in the use of hand and power tools.
