The ideal candidate will have experience in various roofing techniques and materials, with a strong focus on quality workmanship and safety. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs to ensure they are weatherproof and structurally sound. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Duties Install roofing systems using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and tiles. Perform repairs on existing roofs by identifying issues such as leaks or damage and restoring them to optimal condition. Fabricate roofing components as needed to fit specific project requirements. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Read blueprints and specifications to determine project requirements and layout. Conduct heavy lifting as necessary during installation and repair tasks. Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing of roof structures. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters or general contractors on job sites. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience in roofing or related maintenance person work is preferred. Familiarity with metal stud framing is an advantage. Ability to read blueprints accurately is essential. Strong physical fitness level for heavy lifting and working at heights. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing tasks.
