Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grinding, or removing old materials using hand tools and power tools to ensure proper adhesion of waterproofing products. Apply waterproofing membranes, sealants, caulking, and other protective coatings with precision to prevent moisture penetration. Install drainage systems such as sump pumps, French drains, or weeping tiles to facilitate water removal from basements. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute waterproofing plans aligned with project specifications. Operate heavy equipment and scaffolding safely on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members on site to ensure quality workmanship, timely project completion, and compliance with building codes. Qualifications Prior experience in construction, restoration, or related trades is preferred but not required; we provide training for motivated candidates. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to waterproofing projects. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and construction site safety practices. Knowledge of plumbing systems, electrical components related to sump pumps or drainage solutions is a plus. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess issues quickly and implement effective solutions. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and understanding project requirements.
