In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on commercial buildings, ensuring durability, safety, and compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will help deliver high-quality roofing solutions that meet client specifications and project deadlines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your technical skills and craftsmanship to contribute to the success of our construction initiatives. Responsibilities Install new roofing systems using various materials such as asphalt, metal, membrane, or built-up roofing, following blueprints and schematics. Repair and maintain existing roofs by replacing damaged sections, sealing leaks with caulking, or applying restoration techniques to extend roof lifespan. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute roofing projects. Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently on construction sites. Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment while adhering to safety protocols to prevent injury. Conduct site inspections to ensure proper installation procedures are followed and quality standards are met. Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, masons, plumbers, and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks effectively on complex projects. Experience Experience is the least of our worries but its good to have on the team Proven experience in commercial roofing installation, repair, or restoration projects. Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes related to roofing projects. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, metal stud framing, masonry work, tile laying, stucco application, and framing carpentry. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety procedures and heavy lifting requirements. Knowledge of various roofing materials such as asphalt shingles, metal panels, membranes (EPDM or TPO), and built-up roofing systems. Additional skills in caulking, trim carpentry, plumbing integration within roofing structures, masonry restoration work or handyman experience are advantageous for this role.
