Skilled Tradesman 81 Mill Street, Gahanna, OH 43230 From $20 an hour - Part-time, Full-time From $20 an hour - Part-time, Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Skilled Tradesman to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of trades and technical tasks essential to the successful completion of construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your diverse skill set in a fast-paced environment, contributing directly to the creation of durable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing structures. A strong background in various trades combined with excellent problem-solving abilities will set you up for success in this role. There will be a reivew period of 3 months and again at 6 months where increased pay is a possiblity with skill level. Responsibilities Perform construction tasks including framing, carpentry, roofing, masonry, concrete finishing, and drywall installation with precision and attention to detail Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively across multiple trades such as plumbing, electrical work, fabrication, and demolition Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate execution of project specifications Conduct construction inspections to verify compliance with safety standards and building codes Assist with construction estimating and project management activities by providing accurate assessments of materials and labor needs Install doors, windows, cabinets, flooring, tile, stucco, trim carpentry, glass, and other fixtures with craftsmanship and care Operate heavy equipment safely for site preparation, excavation, or material handling as needed Complete detailed reports on work progress, safety incidents, and inspection findings to maintain project documentation Skills Extensive experience with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation for diverse construction projects Proficiency in using Bluebeam software for digital plan review and markup processes Strong knowledge of construction management principles and safety protocols on-site Skilled in construction estimating techniques for accurate project cost assessment Hands-on experience with plumbing systems, electrical wiring, concrete forming & finishing, masonry, roofing & stucco application Ability to operate power tools such as saws, drills, grinders along with hand tools like hammers and chisels efficiently Familiarity with construction site safety practices including OSHA standards and hazard mitigation strategies Competence in fabricating materials or components as required for specific trades or custom projects Experience with restoration work or hardscape installation including paving or landscaping elements Ability to read complex schematics and technical drawings accurately for precise execution of tasks Join us if you're eager to bring your versatile skills into a collaborative environment where quality craftsmanship makes a difference!
