Duties Assist with surface preparation including sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure smooth finishes. Learn to operate hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying equipment safely and effectively. Support the application of paint, stain, and coatings on various surfaces such as walls, ceilings, trim, stucco, and masonry. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project specifications and color schemes. Participate in renovation projects by performing tasks like fixture installation, drywall repair, framing, and remodeling assistance. Help with site cleanup, material organization, and ensuring safety protocols are followed on construction sites. Gain exposure to industrial painting techniques and restoration processes for diverse project types. Requirements Enthusiasm for learning the trade with a proactive attitude toward skill development. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to painting projects. Ability to work safely around construction sites using hand tools, power tools, and scaffolding. Prior experience or familiarity with construction site environments is a plus but not required. Strong interest in construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical schematics. Good physical condition with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual labor. Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to follow instructions from experienced tradespeople.
