Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painting Subcontractor to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting services across residential, commercial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, ensuring they meet client specifications and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your craftsmanship while working on diverse projects that challenge your skills and expand your experience. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and brushes. Read blueprints, schematics, and project plans to accurately determine scope and specifications. Perform related tasks such as plastering, stucco application, masonry work, and fixture installation as needed for comprehensive project completion. Maintain safety standards on construction sites by using proper protective equipment and following safety protocols. Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects within budget. Conduct touch-ups, restoration work, and refinishing to meet quality expectations. Qualifications Proven experience in residential and commercial painting projects with a strong portfolio of completed work. Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and maintenance of tools and equipment. Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Skills in related trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry, frame carpentry), plastering, caulking, masonry, welding, or concrete finishing are a plus. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately for precise application of finishes. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities in renovation or restoration settings. Valid experience in industrial painting or remodeling projects is advantageous.
