The ideal candidates will have a strong background in roofing and general construction, with the ability to work efficiently on various projects. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems, as well as supporting diverse construction activities across different sites. Candidates should be skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and reading blueprints, with a focus on safety and quality workmanship. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial roofing systems using appropriate materials and techniques Assist with preparation of job sites, including setting up scaffolding and safety barriers Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and effectively Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment to support roofing and construction tasks Support other trades such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or framing as needed Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations during all phases of work Experience Proven experience in roofing installation, repair, or related construction fields Familiarity with construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, concrete forming, fabrication, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, metal stud framing, remodeling, welding, tile laying, restoration work, framing carpentry, maintenance person tasks, masonry, plumbing basics Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks over extended periods Prior construction site experience across residential or commercial projects is preferred Knowledge of safety standards related to roofing and general construction work Candidates with additional skills in carpentry (including trim carpentry), restoration work, or specialized trades such as welding or masonry will be highly valued.
