Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Roofer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of roofing systems on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Your expertise will ensure that roofs are durable, weather-resistant, and compliant with safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your technical skills and craftsmanship to deliver high-quality results that stand the test of time. Responsibilities Measure and cut roofing materials accurately using hand tools and power tools to ensure proper fit and installation. Install various roofing systems including shingles, metal panels, tiles, and flat roofs according to blueprints and schematics. Inspect roofs for damage or leaks and perform necessary repairs or replacements promptly. Prepare roofing surfaces by removing old materials, cleaning surfaces, and applying underlayments or sealants as needed. Use construction estimating skills to assess project scope, materials needed, and timelines for roofing projects. Operate heavy lifting equipment safely to handle large materials such as metal sheets or concrete forms. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise installations aligned with project specifications. Collaborate with team members including carpenters, masons, plumbers, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain safety protocols on construction sites by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following OSHA guidelines. Assist in restoration projects involving stucco, masonry, or framing as required for comprehensive building repairs. Qualifications Proven experience in roofing installation and repair with a strong understanding of roofing materials and techniques. Skilled in using hand tools such as hammers, chisels, caulking guns, and measuring tapes; proficient with power tools including nail guns and drills. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and blueprint reading for accurate project planning. Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and OSHA standards. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during material handling. Experience working on construction sites with exposure to framing, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or restoration projects is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in fabrication, tile laying, metal stud framing, or welding tasks.
