Job description Roofer Helper - Repair Team Specialist Fat Matt Roofing is hiring a Roofer Helper - Repair Team Specialist to support our repair team with roof repairs, leak calls, material handling, job site setup, cleanup, and customer service. This is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable, hardworking, teachable, and wants to grow in the roofing trade. You do not have to know everything on day one, but you do need to show up ready to work, follow direction, work safely, and take pride in doing the job right. About the Role The Roofer Helper - Repair Team Specialist will work alongside our repair team to assist with residential and commercial roofing repairs. This includes helping with shingle repairs, pipe jack replacements, flashing repairs, leak repairs, ridge repairs, ventilation repairs, and other service-related roofing work. This role is hands-on, field-based, and requires someone who is comfortable working outdoors, climbing ladders, carrying materials, and helping keep job sites clean and safe. Responsibilities Assist repair technicians with roof repairs and service work Help remove and replace damaged roofing materials Carry, stage, load, and unload tools, ladders, and materials Set up and clean up job sites Protect customer property, landscaping, driveways, and surrounding areas Pick up debris, nails, shingles, and job site materials after repairs are completed Assist with leak detection and repair preparation when needed Help take before, during, and after photos of repair work Follow instructions from the Repair Team Lead or supervisor Maintain and organize tools, supplies, and company vehicles Report safety concerns, damaged equipment, or job site issues Represent Fat Matt Roofing with professionalism and respect Qualifications Roofing, construction, or repair experience preferred, but not required Must be dependable and show up on time Must be willing to learn and follow direction Must be comfortable working on ladders and roofs Must be able to work outdoors in West Texas weather Must be able to lift and carry roofing materials and tools Must have a strong work ethic and team-first attitude Must follow company safety expectations Valid driver's license preferred Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50 pounds or more Ability to climb ladders and work at heights Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, pull, carry, and stand for extended periods Ability to work in heat, cold, wind, and changing weather conditions Ability to safely use basic hand tools and roofing equipment What We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone who: Takes pride in hard work Wants to learn roofing repairs the right way Shows up on time and ready to work Has a good attitude Can follow instructions Works safely Respects customers and their property Wants to be part of a team that is growing Work EnvironmentThis position is primarily field-based.
