Job Description
Job Summary:
The Multicraft Helper provides general labor support across multiple trades on industrial construction sites, including mechanical, civil, and structural crews. This role assists skilled craft workers by performing a variety of tasks that help maintain productivity, safety, and workflow efficiency.Key Responsibilities:
Assist skilled trades (carpenters, ironworkers, pipefitters, equipment operators) as directed Transport, load, and unload materials, tools, and equipment Prepare and clean work areas to ensure safe and efficient operations Hold materials and tools for craft workers during installation Perform basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, digging, and assembling under supervision Operate basic hand and power tools safely Assist with site layout, setup, and teardown activities Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE Identify and report hazards or unsafe conditions Maintain cleanliness and organization of job site Safety Attendant (Fire Watch / Hole Watch)Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (preferred) 6m-2 years of construction or labor experience Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials Valid driver's license (preferred)Skills & Competencies:
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Dependability and punctuality Ability to work in a team environment Good communication skills Safety awareness and attention to detail Adaptability to different tasks and crewsPhysical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights (as needed) Capable of working in hot, cold, and wet weather conditionsWork Environment:
Industrial and commercial construction sites Exposure to heavy equipment, noise, dust, and concrete materials Outdoor work in varying weather conditions May require overtime, weekends, and travelBenefits
