Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our plant operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure quality craftsmanship on every project. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and repairing imperfections to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply primer, paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns , and power tools. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine the scope of work and specific requirements for each project. Execute various types of painting including residential painting, commercial painting, industrial painting, restoration projects, and construction site painting. Perform surface treatments such as plastering, caulking, stucco application, masonry work, and fixture installation to prepare surfaces for finishing. Utilize schematics and technical instructions for precise application of coatings in renovation or remodeling projects. Conduct quality checks throughout the process to ensure smooth finishes and adherence to safety standards. Assist with related tasks such as carpentry (trim carpentry, frame carpentry), concrete finishing, masonry work, welding (as needed), and handyman repairs to support overall project completion. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly. Experience Proven experience in construction painting with a strong background in residential and commercial projects. Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus for understanding project scope and material needs. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, airless spray equipment, and scaffolding setup. Knowledge of color theory for selecting appropriate finishes and achieving desired aesthetic effects. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Experience with plastering, caulking, stucco application, restoration work, and renovation projects is highly desirable. Construction site experience including safety protocols and working at heights or in confined spaces. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface area or material quantities. Additional skills such as carpentry (trim or frame) or handyman experience will be considered advantageous.
Pay:
$19.00 - $26.00 per hour
