Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Project Specialist is a critical member of SHIELD's service team, responsible for executing high-quality exterior repairs and maintenance work across residential rental properties. This role requires strong hands-on construction skills, attention to detail, safe work practices, and clear communication with inspectors and team leads. Project Specialists represent SHIELD on job sites and are expected to perform work efficiently, professionally, and in alignment with company standards. Responsibilities Perform exterior repair and maintenance work on residential properties Complete repairs related to roofing, siding, trim, fascia, soffit, fencing, and general exterior maintenance Review scopes of work provided by inspectors and clarify details as needed Safely use ladders, tools, and equipment required for exterior repairs Communicate job progress, material needs, and issues to team leads Ensure all work is completed to SHIELD quality standards Maintain clean and safe job sites Take responsibility for personal safety and jobsite safety Accurately document completed work when required Work to improve skills through experience, training, and feedback provided by SHIELD Experience Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience , including exterior trim, fascia, soffit, and siding Minimum 2 years of hands-on roofing experience , including shingle repair and roof component replacement Strong understanding of exterior building systems and proper repair methods Ability to read and execute detailed scopes of work accurately
