In this energetic role, you will assist skilled roofers in installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings. Your hands-on work will contribute directly to the safety, integrity, and longevity of our clients' structures. Responsibilities Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and roofing materials. Prepare job sites by setting up scaffolding, safety barriers, and organizing materials for efficient workflow. Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials such as shingles, plywood, metal sheets, and other supplies to ensure timely progress. Support the application of waterproofing membranes, caulking, and flashing to prevent leaks and water damage. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to understand project specifications and ensure accurate execution. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and properly handling tools and materials. Collaborate with team members on framing carpentry, metal stud framing, masonry tasks, or restoration projects as needed. Requirements Prior construction site experience or hands-on experience with roofing projects is highly preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently throughout the workday. Familiarity with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, as well as power tools including drills and saws. Basic understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, or technical drawings related to construction or roofing. Knowledge of construction estimating processes or remodeling techniques is a plus. Strong work ethic with a focus on safety standards; willingness to learn new skills like welding or tile laying is advantageous.
