The Opportunity As a Journeyman Painter, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality coatings across commercial and industrial projects. You'll work alongside experienced crews, contribute to a strong safety culture, and take ownership of your craft from start to finish. Your Role on the team In this role, you will prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and patching to ensure proper coating application. You will apply coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, while also performing detailed and specialty finishes such as wood grain and textured applications. The position requires safely setting up and using ladders, scaffolding, and lifts, as well as removing old coatings using appropriate tools and methods. You will inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards, accurately track time and document daily activities, and maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment. Collaboration with team members and other trades is essential to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. What you bring to the team The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial and/or residential painting, along with a strong understanding of job site safety practices. They should be proficient in operating painting equipment and job site machinery, with a high level of attention to detail and pride in their workmanship. The ability to work at heights and in various job conditions is essential, as is a willingness to travel as needed for projects. Candidates should also be comfortable using basic technology for timekeeping and job tracking, and bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus.
