In this energetic role, you will assist skilled roofers in installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on various commercial and residential projects. Your hands-on involvement will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your construction skills while contributing to the protection and enhancement of buildings through expert roofing craftsmanship. Duties Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment Prepare job sites by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers in compliance with safety regulations Carry out heavy lifting of roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, and insulation to support project progress Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project specifications and ensure accurate work Use caulking guns for sealing joints and seams to prevent leaks and improve roof durability Support framing carpentry, metal stud framing, or stucco applications as needed for roofing projects Maintain a clean and organized work environment by disposing of debris and storing tools properly Requirements Prior construction site experience with exposure to roofing or related trades preferred Ability to operate hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, and measuring tapes effectively Familiarity with power tools including drills, saws, grinders, and nail guns Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is a plus Physical strength to perform heavy lifting and work at heights safely Basic understanding of construction safety protocols and OSHA standards Willingness to learn new skills such as welding, tile laying, or masonry techniques as needed Join us if you're eager to build a career in construction with a focus on roofing!
