Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing high-quality sheet metal components used in HVAC trade. Your expertise in mechanical blueprint interpretation, precision measurement, and advanced fabrication techniques will ensure that all projects meet stringent quality and safety standards. Duties Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately fabricate sheet metal components. Set up and calibrate machining tools and equipment to ensure precision in cutting, forming, welding, and assembly processes. Utilize measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and precision measurement tools to verify dimensions and quality standards throughout production. Perform welding tasks using appropriate techniques to join sheet metal parts securely while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety procedures related to machine operation, tool usage, and material handling. Collaborate with team members on complex fabrication projects. Proven experience as a Journeyman Sheet Metal Fabricator or similar role within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Extensive knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques including forming, cutting, welding, and assembly. Proficiency in interpreting mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and shop math principles. Hands-on experience operating machining equipment. Familiarity with safety standards in production environments and adherence to safety protocols during machine operation and fabrication tasks. Ability to use precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, micrometer gauges, and other quality inspection tools accurately. Mechanical knowledge combined with strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting machine issues or fabrication challenges. Basic math skills necessary for precise measurement calculations and quality control assessments. Experience working with shop tools including hand tools for assembly and finishing tasks is highly desirable.

$29.00 - $45.00 per hour
