In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw materials into precise, high-quality fabricated components used across various construction and industrial projects. Your expertise in welding, sheet metal work, and blueprint reading will be essential to ensure that all fabrication tasks meet strict quality standards and safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects while honing your technical skills in a fast-paced environment. Duties Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate components. Operate a variety of power tools, hand tools, and fabrication equipment including press brake machines, plasma cutters, and pipe threading tools. Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), welding, and Soldering to assemble metal structures and components. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and schematics to ensure accurate dimensions and tolerances. Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and ductwork for construction projects following ASME codes & standards. Conduct rigging, crane operations, and forklift handling to move heavy materials safely around the shop or construction site. Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols; inspect finished products for quality assurance. Requirements Proven experience working on construction sites or in manufacturing environments as a fabricator or similar role. Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, welding, and plasma cutting techniques. Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings with attention to detail. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, and machining equipment. Knowledge of basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, rigging equipment, and pipe threading tools safely and efficiently. Mechanical knowledge of ductwork fabrication, assembly processes, and adherence to ASME codes & standards is highly desirable.
