Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw metal materials into precise, high-quality fabricated components used across various construction and industrial projects. Your expertise in metal fabrication, blueprint interpretation, and welding techniques will ensure that all products meet stringent safety standards and quality specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex projects, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and craftsmanship to deliver exceptional results. Duties Read and interpret detailed mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project specifications and requirements. Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (including
MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW
), plasma cutters, and machining tools to cut, shape, assemble, and weld metal components. Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication according to specifications. Fabricate sheet metal structures, ductwork, metal assemblies, and other components adhering to American Welding Society (AWS) standards and safety protocols. Use crane operations and construction site experience when necessary for lifting and positioning heavy materials during fabrication or installation processes. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols diligently while handling hazardous materials and operating machinery. Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks, ensuring all fabricated parts are correctly assembled and meet quality standards before shipment or installation. Qualifications Proven experience in metal fabrication within a manufacturing or construction environment; sheet metal fabrication experience is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and gas metal arc welding. Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and interpret technical specifications accurately. Proficiency with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools; basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and adherence to safety protocols at all times. Mechanical knowledge of fabrication shop processes including machining, soldering, plasma cutting, assembly, and use of hand tools. Experience working with various metal materials such as steel, aluminum, or other alloys used in fabrication projects. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments. Pay:
$22.50 - $28.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
