In this role, you will drive manufacturing efficiency by independently operating advanced thermal cutting and metal forming machinery to transform raw materials into high-quality components for complex assemblies. Responsibilities Execute precise CNC burn table operations, including program loading, nest verification, and torch parameter optimization to ensure high-quality output. Operate 4-roll plate rolling, 3-roll pipe, and angle rolling equipment to form heavy-duty components such as vessel cans and structural supports. Manage material flow through the shop floor by safely utilizing overhead cranes and forklifts for loading and unloading heavy steel plates. Perform critical quality inspections by comparing finished parts against detailed fabrication drawings and nesting layouts. Maintain operational continuity by identifying cut-quality issues, performing routine equipment maintenance, and keeping the workspace organized. Support broader shop objectives by assisting with general fabrication tasks, including basic fitting and tack welding as required. Required Skills 5+ years of hands-on experience with CNC thermal cutting and heavy metal rolling equipment. Proven ability to interpret complex fabrication blueprints and shop drawings. Proficiency in processing carbon and stainless steel materials to exact specifications. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment performance independently. Commitment to maintaining rigorous safety standards in a heavy industrial environment. Preferred Skills Direct experience operating ALLtra or Hornet burn table control systems. Prior experience with press brake operation. Demonstrated ability to perform basic fitting and tack welding.
