Technicians and gain ALANG membership, all current federal employees, all U.S. Citizens Duties Help 1. On a regular and recurring basis during shift operions, leads three or more mechanics performing the work of the shop. 2. Monitors the work of assigned technicians by passing along dispch and/or in-shop production assignments as directed by the supervisor and/or maintenance control, Insures th needed merials, tools, and equipment are available, and obtains needed stock from supply locions as necessary. Works along with assigned technicians and sets the pace, performing nonsupervisory sheet metal work. 3. Insures assigned technicians tend to work in order to insure full utilizion of personnel and completion of assignments in accordance with established timeframes and priorities. Checks work in progress and/or upon completion for compliance with supervisor's instructions, approprie tech orders, etc. Serves as a technical advisor by answering questions regarding approprie procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives. Assures th safety, housekeeping, security and other environmental rules are followed. 4. Advises the supervisor on stus and progress of work, causes of delay, and overall work operions, problems, and individual performance (e.g., additional on the-job training requirements for individual employees.) As requested by the supervisor, provides section planning factors for maintenance planning, and on a daily basis, recommends adjustments, when necessary, in work-shift schedules to provide optimum utilizion of personnel in support of section requirements. 5. Must have the ability to perform administrive functions; to read and interpret a variety of technical publicions used in the repair of supported equipment.
