Choosing the right sheet metals to use for a project based on the plan or blueprints Precisely measuring sheet metal and marking it at the proper places to comply with required specifications Using cutting tools to prepare sheet metal for use in subsequent steps in manufacturing or as-is installation Shaping, drilling and bending sheet metal to fabricate parts or components Installing metal sheets on construction sites Welding, bolting, brazing and soldering sheet metal to join pieces together
